Terms of service

Last updated 20 August 2026

Who you are contracting with

These services are provided by JBH Weddings, a trading name of JBH Media, a sole trader owned by Jamie Hayward, of 40 Goodiford Crescent, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1ZS ("we", "us"). This agreement is between us and you. You can reach us at weddings@jbhmedia.co.uk or on 07955 126157.

What we agree

A booking is confirmed when we have written to you setting out the services, the price, and your wedding date, and you have accepted in writing and paid any deposit. Until then, quotes are estimates and dates are not held.

Prices shown on our website are a guide. The price we confirm in writing is the price that applies to you, and it does not change afterwards because our published prices do.

Payment

A deposit of 25% is payable to confirm your booking. It holds your date and covers the work we begin straight away, so other than during the cancellation period below it is not refundable.

The balance is due 6 weeks before your wedding. Payments are taken through SumUp. If a payment is late we will tell you, and we will tell you plainly if it starts to put your date at risk.

Your 14-day cancellation right

Because you booked without meeting us in person - or met us somewhere like a wedding fayre - you have 14 days from confirming your booking to change your mind and cancel for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Email us and that is the end of it.

If you ask us to start work inside those 14 days, we will - but if you then cancel, you pay for what we have already done, in proportion to the whole. If the service is one we can complete inside 14 days and you have asked us to do so, the right ends once it is finished. We will always say so in writing before we start.

Changes and cancellation after that

Weddings move. If your date changes, tell us as soon as you can: if we are free on the new date we will transfer your booking at no extra charge, and if we are not, we will say so honestly and refund anything you have paid for work not yet done.

If you cancel later, the deposit is retained. If you cancel within 6 weeks of the wedding, when the balance has fallen due and the date can no longer realistically be filled, the full amount is payable. We will never keep more than we have actually lost - if we can rebook the date or the work has not been done, we will refund the difference without being asked.

If we have to cancel, which we would only do in a genuine emergency, we refund everything you have paid and help you find someone else.

Your content, and ours

Your photographs, wording and guest information remain yours. You give us permission to use them for the purpose of providing the service you have booked.

We would like to show examples of our work. We will only publish photographs or details of your wedding if you have given us specific permission, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us - we will then remove them from anywhere we control within 30 days.

The software, templates and systems behind your site remain ours.

Guest photos

Where you have a guest gallery, your guests upload their own photographs. You choose whether those appear immediately or after approval. We are not able to check every image, and you are responsible for deciding what stays on your gallery. Anyone in a photograph may ask us to remove it, and we will.

How long things stay online

Your gallery stays online for the period you choose when you book. After that it is archived and the files are deleted, so please download everything you want to keep before then - we will remind you.

On the day

Where we attend in person, we will arrive at the agreed time and work with your venue. Some things are outside our control - venue wifi, mobile coverage, power, and access. We build for those failing where we can, and where a service genuinely cannot be delivered because of them, we will refund the part affected.

If something goes wrong

Tell us. We would far rather fix it than argue about it. If we cannot put it right, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service concerned. Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Questions about any of this? Email weddings@jbhmedia.co.uk or call 07955 126157, and we will explain in plain English.
